It's not just another house. It's an experience unlike any. Welcome to your own National Geographic! Villa Toucan is a private ocean view and rainforest villa that sits on edge of the virgin rainforest where guests are immersed in the energy, sounds, sights, smells, and awe of the rainforest and its wildlife - all from within the comforts of our 2 bedroom villa.
Villa Toucan is located within the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge in Punta Uva on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica. The house is 1 km from the turquoise-colored waters of the Caribbean Sea where you can enjoy beautiful virgin beaches, snorkeling over the coral reefs, kayaking, wildlife hikes, horseback riding, and just plainly relaxing.
Guests at Villa Toucan are assured to see dozens of toucans every day in addition to several kinds of monkeys, sloths, colorful frogs, morpho butterflies, hummingbirds, countless varieties of birds, and exotic insects.
Designed as a vacation house for families and honeymoons, the villa comes fully equipped and can comfortably sleep up to 4 people. There are 2 bedrooms, each with its own private balcony, outdoor bathroom, and private garden, a full kitchen, dining area, a wildlife terrace, and our new Hammock hut. Guests rent the entire house - whether you are one of four people.
Villa Toucan has 2 private bedrooms that can accommodate up to 4 people. Both bedrooms have a king-sized bed for couples, that can be converted into two twins for singles or children. Each bedroom has its own private balcony overlooking the rainforest and large exterior outdoor bathrooms. The floors and cathedral ceilings are made of beautiful local hardwoods.
Both bedrooms come fully furnished with linens and pillows, beach and bathroom towels, clothing hangers, ceiling fans, a working desk, bedside tables and lamps, comforters for cool nights, and hand-picked literature on local topics of interest. There is also a hidden locked safe where you can protect your valuables.
